My name is John Lopez, and I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I attended Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed my psychiatric training in a large hospital system in Orlando, Florida. My passion is to treat and nurture people's mental health across the lifespan through evidence-based practices and culturally appropriate care. My intended purpose is to help people reach their goals. I am fluent in English and Spanish and can perform psychiatric care in both languages.
My experience is composed of more than eight years working in psychiatric care, allowing me to focus on any spectrum of mental health, from depression, bipolar disorder, insomnia, ADHD, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, schizophrenia, and others alike.
I have worked in the psychiatric inpatient and outpatient setting as well as telepsychiatry. I also have extensive experience in Consult-Liaison Psychiatry, performing psychiatric care in the medical hospital. I enjoy spending time with family, watching movies, and reading in my free time.
