I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with extensive experience providing therapy and medication to adults of all ages. I provide non-judgmental care for clients who want to improve their mental health and wellbeing. I am oriented towards the harm-reduction model and feel it is important to meet each client where they are in their individual mental health and wellness journey. My primary areas of interest are in trauma, substance abuse, and in working with the LGBTQ+ community. My other areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, ADHD, and addiction, among many other mental health concerns.
My therapeutic approach is integrative with focuses on the psychodynamic, interpersonal, and existential models. I incorporate aspects of CBT, DBT, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) into my therapy sessions. All of the therapy that I conduct is trauma-informed. Additionally, I am an EMDR-trained therapist and offer EMDR sessions to interested clients.
I completed my master's in nursing at Boston College while doing my specialized graduate training at the VA with a focus on PTSD and substance use. I have worked in various community agencies, focusing on a range of client populations including the LGBTQ+ community, people struggling with substance use, Veterans, and other marginalized communities.
