I am a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. I use an integrative approach that includes a combination of psychotherapy and medication to provide individualized treatment to each patient. As a therapist, I believe that healing and growth come from uncovering new ways of understanding ourselves and how we relate to the world and that this occurs most effectively in the context of a safe and deeply authentic therapeutic relationship. My orientation is primarily psychodynamic, but I integrate CBT and mindfulness techniques as needed to provide the best care.
I also offer more targeted medication consultation and management, often a good fit if you are already working with a therapist. My approach to medication treatment is nuanced, conscientious, and collaborative, informed by my experience in psychopharmacology research as well as over a decade of post-training clinical experience.
