John Hartmann
Psychiatrist, MD
Location
I am a board-certified psychiatrist with a private practice in San Francisco. I completed medical training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill followed by psychiatry residency at UCSF. I have also received advanced psychotherapy training through the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis. I integrate a wide range of perspectives to provide individualized treatment to each patient.
I work with adolescents and adults to address a wide range of problems including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, career obstacles, substance abuse, and the process of coming to terms with difficult and traumatic life situations. I offer psychotherapy and, when appropriate, make careful use of medication treatment.
If you are interested in starting treatment together, feel free to contact me at the phone number listed here. We will have a five to ten minute phone conversation to discuss what you are seeking and to answer any questions you may have. We can then arrange an appointment together.
