I am a board-certified Psychiatrist with a focused interest in people struggling with major depression disorder, bipolar disorders, aggressive disorders, ADHD and addictions. I also have a special interest in the field of nutritional psychiatry. Different diets have different affects on the mind and body, and taking that into account is something I find crucial to a wholistic form of treatment along with medications and other alternatives. I feel it is critical to ensure that everyone’s brain receives adequate and fundamental nutrition when looking at their overall mental health.
As a Psychiatrist, I prefer a working collaborative relationship with all of my patients. Each person has a unique life, unique circumstances and a biologically unique nervous system. Thus, everyone reacts to psychiatric medications and other treatments differently.
I feel that patients can best report on their own experience and I strive to create a collaborative relationship where my patients know that what they experience and what they say is one of the most important things.
