Hi, I’m Joanne. I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner in private practice, offering flexible telehealth and in- office appointments. My treatment philosophy is to combine medication where indicated with therapy to clients of all ages, but I take a special interest in working with children, and adolescents. I have experience with a broad range of problems including and not limited to ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and child/adolescent behavioural issues. My mission is to provide compassionate mental health care, and I have been told my greatest strength is my ability to listen.
After surviving the loss of a family member from suicide, I personally know how badly mental health can affect an individual and family as a whole. Experiencing that high amount of psychological distress brought me post-traumatic growth. I became aware of the gaps between medical and psychiatric care, and how the mind/body connection is often ignored.
Those gaps ultimately led me to change my career path and pursue psychiatric nursing. I am licensed in MA, MN, RI, FL, and AZ, and board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
