I treat a full range of emotional issues experienced by adolescents and adults. Seeking help often represents a craving for emotional capacity to lead a fulfilling and emotionally satisfying life. First we thoroughly evaluate your issues. I then make recommendations for treatment using the best of contemporary psychoanalytic and psychological theory, and when needed psychopharmaceutical theory. My goal is to help you understand your emotions so that you can fell better and develop your life in ways that are important to you.
I have worked extensively with adolescents and young adults including the training I did at the Yale University Student Health Center and the Yale Psychiatric Hospital. I have had extensive training in psychodyamic psychiatry, psychoanalysis and psychophamacology.
Working together, we will come to an understanding of how we can address your emotional issues. I will help you understand yourself and others. I will help learn to be effective in dealing with your emotions. My goal is to help you feel better and to help develop the life you want.
