I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with more than 25 years’ experience treating individual adults and teens, adult couples, and families of all ages. In addition to psychotherapy, I am licensed to prescribe medications. My style is active and engaged, and I view trust, honesty and humor as key ingredients in forming an effective relationship with my clients. I treat the full range of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and perinatal and postpartum mood disorders. I also treat people who simply need help in addressing circumstances that are interfering with their enjoyment of life.
I trained at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Hospital. My postgraduate studies included transference-focused psychotherapy at the Personality Disorders Institute at Weill Medical College, under Otto Kernberg, MD; family and couples therapy at The Family Therapy Institute of Westchester; and cognitive behavioral therapy at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
