Jill Burgholzer, is a certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a doctorate of nursing practice degree who brings years of mental health experience as both a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. After graduating from the University of Maryland's Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program she received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Delta State University. Throughout her career she has trained under multiple skilled psychiatrists at several area hospitals and has worked as adjunct clinical faculty at Salisbury University, Towson University and Drexel University. Licensed in Maryland and DC-offering onsite or telemedicine.
During the initial psychiatric consultation clients are evaluated for medical and psychosocial factors which may be causing or exacerbating symptoms. If indicated mental health medications are thoughtfully prescribed and monitored to ensure maximum effect with the goal being the least amount necessary to aid in stability and enhance wellbeing.
