Hi, I'm Dr. Wuest, and I treat a wide range of mental health syndromes and explore the ways emotional and physical health intersect. I help patients gain agency, empowerment, freedom, and the capacity to transform patterns that shape their lives. Meaningful change comes from within and takes time. I combine evidence-based medication management with psychotherapy through a mind-body practice informed by my background in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, acupuncture, and over a decade of ballet.
In our work, I often explore: Nutrition, sleep, and lifestyle factors affecting mood and energy; Substance use and its impact on cognition and motivation; Hormonal or medical contributors to symptoms; Trauma patterns, attachment history and emotional dynamics; Nervous system responses shaped by stress and experience. Sessions are longer than standard visits.
I offer multi-modal psychiatric treatment, combining evidence-based medication management and also offer psychotherapy informed by psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and insight-oriented approaches. Advanced training at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute has deepened my understanding of how past experiences shape present emotional life.
