Jessica Van Meter is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who has clinically trained with Bloom Health Centers over the past several months. We are excited to welcome Jessica officially to the team. Jessica started her career in mental health as a registered nurse at Winchester Medical Center. She has experience in many areas of nursing and found her passion in mental health during this time. This is where she first learned how to help people in crisis and understand person-centered stabilization and support.
The longer she practiced, the more she wanted to do for her patients. She returned to school, where she earned her master’s and became a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Shenandoah University. She is currently working on her certification in trauma-informed care.
She has a heart for learning and growing in her continued practice of medicine. Jessica has training in the identification and assessment of human trafficking victims. She also holds a certification as an Integrative Mental Health Professional.
