I am trained to treat people at all life stages. I do especially enjoy helping children and adolescents feel better and reach their full potential. When working with children, it is crucial to do an in-depth evaluation to look at the "whole picture," as all children exist within their own web of relationships (family, friends, schools, extracurricular activities). I develop personalized treatment plans that use evidence-based therapy, medications or a combination to help children and their families achieve better mental health and family functioning.
I use a wide range of therapy styles including Psychodynamic, DBT, CBT and play therapy for children. There is not usually one "right" mode of therapy, and after a thorough evaluation I may recommend one style that I believe will be most effective and then adapt it as therapy progresses.
