My desire is for every single patient to leave my appointment feeling empowered, knowledgeable, and most importantly... heard. Too often, new patients come to me frustrated, angry, and leery after a bad experience with a doctor/NP. They say things like "they made me a zombie or they just kept increasing the dose at each appointment". Sound familiar? I won't let you leave my appointment feeling that way. I will treat you like I would want my family treated; with kindness and empathy. From someone who is new to mental health to the person who has had multiple medication trials with limited success- I can and will help.
I don't have a specific specialty, per se. I can tell you that my patients and peers believe my strengths are in making each patient feel important. My psychiatrist peers are amazed at my compliance (meds and appointment) rates and documentation. My patients say I am nice and always willing to listen. They feel that I truly care about them. They are right.
Together, we will meet your goals. I have found people are more inclined to stick with any medication/treatment plan if they feel empowered and in control. I will be honest. I will answer any question. I will not ever discount your feelings and your experiences.
