Some patients believe psychiatrists only prescribe medications and don't treat "the whole person." I'm an experienced psychiatrist, psychotherapist and psychoanalyst. I also worked for 25 years with hospitalized teens. I'll listen carefully, offer expert guidance and support, and treat you as a unique person with complex needs. We'll collaborate to identify your goals and I'll help you meet them. I do prescribe medications, but only when necessary, and not without also offering other ways to help. Seeing patients in TX (remote and in person) and CA (remote only.)

I specialize in helping people solve problems with relationships, work, and life transitions, or who suffer from depression, other mood disorders, anxiety, and the effects of trauma, or who have concurrent medical conditions. I also am highly skilled in working with adolescents. I can help people understand when they need medication and when they don't.
