I believe in more skills and less pills by expanding each of my patient’s “toolbox” with healthy methods to cope with life stressors. Working with children, adolescents, and young adults to manage Anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Depression, Mood disorders, Complex Trauma, and Chronic Disease, I help my patients and their parents identify and manage symptoms, while developing lifelong skills to empower them to regulate their emotions, improve focus, and reach their fullest potential. Through teaching distress tolerance skills, mindfulness, and grounding techniques, I offer individualized, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health care.
I use a holistic integrative approach, combining traditional psychiatry, psychotherapy, medication management and laboratory testing, with complementary modalities such as lifestyle management, behavioral modification and skill building. I often utilize visual aids, provide handouts and additional resources so that progress continues outside of sessions.
I empower my patients, teaching how the body is wired to respond to stress, and equip them with tools to manage their responses, promoting long-term well-being. As my patients recognize their symptoms as signals from their body, and are empowered with methods to regain control, they gain greater understanding and mastery of their mind-body connection.
