About
I believe that each person maintains an inherent capacity to heal and grow. The challenges we face in our day-to-day survival make it easy to defer our personal needs in favor of crisis management. Depending on our personal history, this can lead us to become weary, angry, and detached – a combination that breeds the shame and loneliness that so often contribute to our suffering. If you're feeling stuck in this cycle, then you're in the right place.
I have experience in treating individuals of all walks of life and of all ages. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient levels of care and am comfortable navigating psychiatric emergencies when appropriate. When it comes to prescribing, I believe in the value of genetic testing and have expertise in applying the results toward medication decision-making.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I understand that our minds and bodies are NOT separate. My approach combines elements of both western and eastern medicine along with psychotherapy to achieve maximum wellness, with the provider-client relationship at the heart of all interventions. I consider it the highest honor to walk on your journey with you.
