Hi, I am Jemila. I am a board-certified Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- (across the lifespan: PMHNP-BC). I have over 8 years of experience as psychiatric mental health nurse and about 3 years of psychiatric nurse practitioner. I worked with patients of ages 8 and above with all type of mental health diagnosis. I provide person centered and evidence-based med management by collaborating with my clients. Also, providing supportive/solution focused psychoeducation.
I worked with patient aged 8 and up. Seen kids 6-7 after diagnosis for med management. I treat all diagnosis with focus on depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, personality disorder, substance use disorder, insomnia, and others. Accepting kids 8 and up. All ages of adult. 6-7 y/o after diagnosis for med management.
My journey started with simple ambition of helping my family member understand their diagnosis of mental illness. Here I am eleven years later still in the field. Today, I just want to listen to my patients and provide information about next step. It is personal.
