Welcome. Thoughtful Psychiatry is a group of psychiatric providers devoted to providing a "thoughtful" approach to psychiatric care. The practice consists of multiple psychiatric prescribers that have extensive training in psychotherapy. While we believe that medications can be very helpful, we insist on providing more than medication for our patients.
We provide "thoughtful psychiatry" for adults, adolescents, and children. Prescribers are knowledgeable of the latest pharmacological treatments and also have extensive training in multiple forms of therapy. We incorporate these psychotherapies into medication visits. We are primarily accepting patients for medication management for a variety of conditions
This practice involves experienced nurse practitioners, as well as graduate level nurses training to become psychiatric nurse practitioners. Trainees are often involved in the care of patients new to the practice. Patients who are seeking medication management should already have a therapist. We provide care to children, adolescents, and adults.
