My goal is to partner with individuals to relieve emotional pain and suffering. We all encounter periods of emotional turmoil in our lives that may lead to feelings of isolation, grief, anxiety and depression. During these times, it is difficult, if not impossible, to find solutions to problems on our own. Along with fostering a safe environment for sharing, I provide psychoanalysis and psychoanalytically informed psychotherapy. I endeavor to empower others to find a greater sense of emotional flexibility, discover new solutions to old problems, invigorate relationships, achieve peace of mind, and experience enduring change.
As a Board Certified psychoanalyst and psychiatrist, I rely on a holistic approach for consultation, psychoanalysis, psychotherapy and when necessary, medication management to understand the amalgum of developmental, biological, psychological and environmental factors that create each person's unique set of mental health strengths and challenges.
As a sculptor, I believe psychotherapy may be experienced as an art form, a process of uncovering truth and meaning, a creative journey that can lead to an enhancement of emotional openness, strength and resilience.
