I’m Dr. Janelle Arias, a board-certified psychiatrist in both general and child/adolescent psychiatry with Frontier Psychiatry, and I’m here to offer thoughtful, compassionate support grounded in evidence-based care. I’ve dedicated my career to working with children, teens, and their families, helping them manage a wide range of mental health challenges. I completed my fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center, and for over a decade, I provided trauma-informed care in a residential DBT program for teens.
I’ve also served as medical director for an eating disorder treatment program and worked in integrated telepsychiatry settings, partnering with primary care providers to expand access to care. I’ve completed intensive DBT training and enjoy incorporating its principles into my work with patients and families.
Whether I’m working with a young person navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or an eating disorder, my approach is collaborative and strengths-based. I believe in meeting each patient where they are and working together to build resilience and healing.
