I provide attentive, compassionate, and holistic Child and Adolescent Psychiatric evaluations and treatment for children, adolescents, and their families. In this ever-changing world, my special interests are to support children during difficult adjustments to life events, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. My approach is open, understanding, and collaborative with children, adolescents, and their families to identify the struggles the child is experiencing and to determine various ways we can best support them to feel better so they may live their life more fully.
As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, I believe family involvement is essential for a child's growth and success. I work to strengthen Parent-child relationships through increasing understanding, positive communication, and quality time spent together. I also support children to develop positive thinking, personal values, and a healthy lifestyle.
Oftentimes, when the child feels seen, heard, understood, cared for, and supported by their Parents and others they trust, they feel more secure inside and safe to explore the world and apply themself. Sometimes, supportive interventions are not enough; at this point, we can work together to consider the role of careful medication treatment.
