I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and professionals who want to explore their identities and process past experiences through intensive personal psychotherapy. I focus on supporting students, young adults, and professionals struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, and perfectionism. My work also includes helping patients navigate academic challenges, suicidal thoughts, and identity-related concerns. I offer multiple times/week intensive therapy for complex, treatment resistant cases and for those looking to get outpatient care in lieu of residential facilities or PHP/IOP
I help by offering an in-depth, psychoanalytic approach that goes beyond surface symptoms to get to the root of the problem. My specialty lies in understanding the deeper patterns, conflicts, and experiences that shape how someone feels and behaves. I am double board-certified in both adult psychiatry and child & adolescent psychiatry.
As a first-generation Korean American immigrant, I understand the unique challenges immigrant and second-generation students face in college, particularly the pressures of balancing academic demands with family expectations. I also enjoy helping patients explore their identities.
