I am a psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience treating adults. I received my Medical Degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. I completed my residency training in psychiatry at the University of Minnesota. I am Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. I have treated patients in multiple treatment settings including outpatient clinics, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric units and electroconvulsive therapy. My area of interest is Women's Mental Health.
I work with women who have a wide variety of experiences, symptoms and diagnoses. My focus is treating Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder.
My goal is to build a therapeutic alliance with my patients, in which they feel they are part of the team. It is important to me that my patients feel heard and understood. This is accomplished by creating a safe space in which patients feel comfortable sharing their experiences while being supported.
