I am a therapist and physician experienced in helping people of all ages experiencing depression, anxiety, learning difficulties, medical illnesses and other challenges. Life brings many transitions and crises, and you may need the right people on your team to navigate through them. Your solutions may include psychotherapy, medication, or other treatments, and I will work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan. I believe that the foundation of treatment is a person's core values and goals. Using education and motivation-based counseling, I aim to give people the tools to take care of their health.
My research interests include wellness self-management for people with medical issues and serious mental illness, as well as parenting challenges when children have behavior difficulties. As the Chief Medical Officer at ICL, Inc., and Associate Professor at NYU, I provide leadership in bringing high quality evidence-based mental health care to New York.
