I am a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of depression, anxiety, ADHD/ADD, OCD, sleep disorders, and a number of other psychiatric conditions. I offer a unique perspective to patient care and provide a holistic approach, emphasizing a connection between the mind and body. Specifically, I provide treatment options including medication management and/or psychotherapeutic approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. My goal is to help people gain control over their lives and to optimize their potential in a variety of areas, including work performance, interpersonal relationships, sleep hygiene, and overall health.

I am a Harvard and NYU-trained psychiatrist practicing in New York City who treats adults, adolescents, and couples. I have special interests in mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, weight and body image issues, relationship issues, and sleep disorders. I also have expertise in perinatal mental health and sexual dysfunction therapy. In my practice I see patients for both psychopharmacology and/or psychotherapy with emphasis on supportive, dynamic, interpersonal, cognitive behavioral, and sex therapy modalities.

I am a board certified Nurse Practitioner of Psychiatry with a Doctoral Degree from New York University. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. I currently provide outpatient medication management and psychotherapy to my clients. In addition to my clinical work, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at NYU.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist and graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and New York University (NYU). After graduating as chief resident, I went on to pursue a fellowship and work in the public sector serving those most in need. My clients often include those that have been struggling with difficulties that impair their day to day function, leaving them unsatisfied, unhappy or struggling with inner turmoil or anxiety. All appointments are currently virtual. He is licensed in New York and California. He founded the group private practice, Ficus Psych. In private practice, he sees children, teens, and adults. Dr. Sayer understands that the best outcomes happen when patients and doctors work as a team. It is his mission to use his expertise, in combination with the unique characteristics of each patient, to empower patients to make meaningful progress in their lives.

I am a psychiatrist who treats children, adolescents, adults, and families at Montefiore Hospital and in my private practice. I assist patients with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, crises of identity, and interpersonal issues. I specialize in different forms of psychotherapy, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy. When the need arises, I also prescribe medication to enhance psychotherapy.

I utilize a compassionate, collaborative, and recovery-oriented approach to support each of my patients in living meaningful and sustainably healthy lives. Dr. Liss was born and raised in a neighborhood in the North Bronx. He attended Queens College, CUNY where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Hebrew. He completed Medical school at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY and thereafter was accepted to NUMC for psychiatry residency training. For his final year of residency, Dr. Liss was appointed to the position of Chief Resident at NUMC, Nassau University Medical Center.
