We're Plus by APN in Colorado - a team of psychiatry, therapy, and medical providers who have come together to provide real, comprehensive, interventional care for your mental health and well-being. Traditional psychiatry involves diagnosis and medication management. And we certainly do those. But at Plus by APN, we also provide in-depth psychiatric assessments to help you determine the best comprehensive treatment plan for your needs - whether that be therapy, medication, Deep TMS, ketamine-assisted healing, brain mapping, neurofeedback, stellate ganglion block (SGB) or some combination of the above.

I've embraced roles ranging from EMT at 16 to specializing in pediatric nursing and emergency/trauma care. I received my BSN and MSN-Ed from the University of Central Florida, I now tread the path toward a DNP at Regis University. Simultaneously, I serve as a full-time assistant professor, imparting knowledge and nurturing future healthcare professionals. I completed my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) education through Colorado State University-Pueblo, where I'm fostering a passion for mental health across the lifespan. I am an adult psychiatrist, providing both psychotherapy and medication management for patients with a wide variety of psychiatric disorders including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse disorders, trauma-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, attention deficit disorders, and others. I practice evidence based conventional medication management but am complementary-medicine and alternative-medicine friendly. I will take patients who work with other psychotherapists and are in need of medication management alone, or am able to provide both services.

Maggie is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She has a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minor in Neuroscience from Miami University. Since 2013 she has worked in various settings, such as: community mental health, private practice, corrections, and skilled/assisted nursing facilities.

At Peak Interactive Wellness, we aren't your typical psychiatric providers. We take a humanistic and positive psychiatry approach. We make medication decisions with you, not for you. We provide alternative treatment options and therapies including nutraceuticals. We work closely with other members of your health care team to form a collaborative approach to your treatment. Hello! I graduated with a degree in nursing from Santa Monica College in 2009. Since that time, I’ve worked in several hospital settings including intensive care. I finished my first masters degree as and Adult Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist in 2017 from California State University at Dominguez Hills and started managing extremely sick people in a long-term acute care hospital One universal I’ve seen throughout my many different careers in and out of healthcare is that the presence (or absence) of good mental health care spells the difference between success and failure in any environment.

If you are struggling with unmanageable moods or emotions, maybe you have tried treatment in the past but it has not worked for you. Please come see me and we can build off your history, making sure not to repeat things that have failed you in the past but rather build from this knowledge and improve your symptoms and quality of life through different treatment modalities. My practice includes child, adolescent, and adult patients. During your initial visit we will discuss your current concerns and assess the biological, psychological, developmental, and social factors that contribute to your concerns. We will then work collaboratively to establish a comprehensive plan to address each of these factors and discuss the role of medication and psychotherapy in your treatment. While I believe medications play a significant role in psychiatric treatment, I tend to maintain a strong focus on psychotherapy, as this is a powerful tool for promoting lasting change and emotional well-being.

Born and raised in Kansas City, I decided to pursue a medical career during high school. I went to trade school and worked as a medical assistant and phlebotomist. After several years I decided to further my education in nursing, attaining my LPN, RN, BSN, MSN, and post-graduate certification. I graduated summa cum laude from all nursing coursework. Margurite decided to pursue my PMHNP certification out of my desire to more effectively help others suffering from anxiety and depression.

I am a Harvard-trained board-certified geriatric psychiatrist. While I work with all adults, I specialize in the management of behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia, late life depression and anxiety, and the strain that family members experience when caring for those aging with dementia and mental illness. Common problems I address include apathy, agitation, insomnia, confusion, depression, anxiety, hallucinations, delusions and memory loss. I do not participate in Medicare or commercial insurance.
