Dr. Thompson chose to become a psychiatrist because everyone has a story, and deserves having someone who can both hear and hold their pain. She loves watching the progression in individual’s lives. People usually come to see her because they are in despair and not sure where to turn to find relief. Dr. Thompson likes taking the journey with her patients to take them from a state of crisis and uncertainty and helping them achieve stability and wellness from the inside out.
Dr. Thompson specializes in General Adult Psychiatry and is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has over 5 years’ experience in treating Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Obsessions and Compulsions, Posttraumatic Stress, and Psychosis.
Dr. Thompson's empathetic character and incorporation of a healthy balance of humor (a positive defense) allows her patients to feel at ease and open to express what they are experiencing. Outside of being a Psychiatrist, Dr. Thompson is also a wife and mother who enjoys biking, hiking, and camping with her family, and in her spare time, upcycling furniture.
