With my dual certification as both a nurse midwife and family psychiatric nurse practitioner, I have a unique understanding of women’s psychiatric disorders related to hormonal and neurobiological imbalances from menarche through menopause such as premenstrual mood disorder, antenatal and postpartum mood disorders, as well as peri- and post-menopausal psychiatric disturbances.
