Being a nurse practitioner allows me to deliver integrative interventions on an individual basis. I provide a holistic approach to treating mental health issues using evidence-based practices by combining various psychotherapeutic interventions with psychiatric medications when appropriate. I offer psychopharmacological education and management to assess efficacy, tolerability, and monitor for possible risks. I am client-centered and interweave individual strengths into a treatment plan to promote wellness. I encourage individuals to have an active voice in their treatment.
For the past 10 years I have gained experience and knowledge while working with adolescents and adults with acute psychiatric issues both as a RN and as an ARNP. My interests include PTSD, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and sleep disorder.
My previous practice settings which allowed me to develop my expertise are: DESC Crisis Solutions Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital Payne Whitney Cornell, Columbia University, Morgan Stanley Childrens Hospital outpatient Mental Health Clinic.
