Hello, my name is Heather Parkerson,and I'm board-certified as a Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner. I specialize in children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and learning disorders. These include depression, anxiety, ADD, autism, school problems, impulsivity, and aggression. I also enjoy working with adults that have a variety of emotional difficulties. I believe that each person is much more than their diagnosis and with a combination of medication and therapy, we can work together to achieve a better quality of life. The most rewarding part of my job is helping individuals through difficult times in their lives.

I am a double board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. I completed my adult psychiatry residency at Yale University in 1996 and my child psychiatry fellowship at UCLA in 1998. I have practiced in various clinical settings in Canada and the U.S., including outpatient, inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and emergency room. My diverse clinical experience includes practice in academic centers, community mental health agencies, and private practice.

Hello, I'm Brooke and I have worked with adults in the mental health field since 2006. My primary focus at this time is the assessment & treatment of adult Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder (ADHD/ADD). ADD is certainly not limited to children. Many individuals continue to experience symptoms as adults, and adults who were never diagnosed as kids may develop more obvious symptoms in adulthood. Common ADD symptoms include difficulty focusing, prioritizing, retaining information, & staying on task; hyperactivity, and/or impulsivity that interferes with and impacts work, home life, & relationships, especially if left untreated.

I see my role as an educator to provide information for you to make an informed decision about medications and treatment options.
