People with mental health disorders are affected in many ways due to the nature of the problem. These individuals need stability and want to be well. My goal of treatment is to reduce their symptoms so that it will not impact their daily functioning and so they can live fruitful and healthy life.
As a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner, I can help patients with mental illness through medication management and patient education about the disorder. In addition, I will teach patients some coping skills, referral to other helpful resources, and collaborate with other interdisciplinary teams.
I understand how hard it is to struggle with mental illness, but patients should not deal with it alone. As a mental health professional, I am here to go through this wellness journey with you; together, we can beat the problem.
