I’m excited you’re here! I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner who works with people across the lifespan, from childhood/adolescence through to older adulthood, who have struggled to move forward or even stay afloat. I have been in mental health for 20 years across various settings (inpatient, outpatient, emergency psych, and community treatment) and patient populations (general mental health to severe mental illness). I have earned Bachelor's Degrees in both Psychology and Nursing and a Master's Degree as a psych NP.
We are in an exciting time in mental health treatment! There has been an explosion of new treatment options and modalities - medication and non-medication - like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, ketamine, nutraceuticals and gut health, stroboscopic light therapy, and hormone management that I can offer. And there are further advancements on the horizon.
We rarely deal with only one overwhelming burden. Instead, we are inundated with complex problems from multiple aspects of our lives that can leave us feeling hopeless in the face of managing these challenges.
