About
Are you often anxious, or down in the dumps? Do you wish you could be closer to the people in your life? Are you feeling a little lost? I can help you create the life you want. As a psychiatrist who practices an innovative, growthful approach called social therapy, I won't diagnose or label you. Instead, we'll work together to discover new ways for you to do your relationships, your work, your life. I'll help you develop new emotional tools and skills.
We'll start by working together in weekly individual sessions. When you're ready, I'll recommend that you come into one of my weekly therapy groups. Social therapy groups are diverse - women, men, gay, straight, older and younger adults. What they share is their commitment to their own and each other's emotional development.
Development isn't just for kids! Regardless of your age, your situation, or any prior diagnosis, everyone has the ability to grow emotionally throughout their lives. How? By working with other people to create environments in which everyone is supported to develop by creating new ways of thinking, feeling and relating to others.
