My practice style is holistic, collaborative, trauma informed, and evidence based. While my work is grounded in my medical training at Yale, I believe that DSM diagnoses can't capture the complexity of human experience. I explore alternative understandings of mental health alongside my clients. I treat people with depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma (including race and identity based traumas), and bipolar disorder. I also enjoy working with people who hear voices or see things. My clients are motivated to explore a broad range of tools for wellness, with medication as one tool in the toolbox.
My journey in mental health began as a patient, not a provider. My lived experience with the mental health system deeply informs the way I practice. I know the vulnerability and courage it takes to seek mental healthcare, and I strive to help my patients navigate treatment in a way that is both effective and empowering.
