I have been in practice since 2000, and continue to feel privileged to be able to work with many types of patients, adults and older adolescents, with a wide variety of concerns.
I have experience in psychiatric diagnosis, combined psychiatric and chronic medical illness, and managing complex medication regimens. I practice psychoanalysis, short and long term psychotherapy and medication management.
I believe in finding a clear understanding of the problems that bring about a desire for a treatment relationship. If medications are indicated, I use them judiciously and continue to clarify their role as we progress. I measure progress not only by relief of painful symptoms, but in self awareness and self-affirming life choices.
