I'm a bilingual psychiatric nurse practitioner, and I provide care in both English and Spanish. While I have a special passion for serving the Latino community, I welcome adults and adolescents from all backgrounds. I know reaching out for mental health care isn't always easy, especially if this is your first time. If you've been carrying something heavy for a while and the people around you keep telling you to just push through, you don't have to keep doing that on your own.
A lot of what I treat doesn't show up as "depression." It shows up as a short fuse at home, sleeping badly, drinking more than you used to, or feeling like you're just going through the motions for everyone else. Sometimes your family notices before you do. (If you're reading this for your husband, your dad, or your brother, you're in the right place too.)
As a fluent Spanish-speaking provider, I understand the unique experiences many first-generation families face. My background in emergency medicine, urgent care, and inpatient psychiatry allows me to provide thoughtful, compassionate care. I take time to listen, not rush. Evening appointments are available.
