Dr. Michael Colin is a board-certified, licensed adult psychiatrist in private clinical practice in Chelsea Manhattan at London Terrace Psychiatry. My approach is to help people with problems with love and work. There are two kinds of love: (1) human sexuality and (2) love writ large as mutual affection and caring. When love and work are threatened by loss, the reaction may be one of anxiety, all the way to panic. When love and work get lost, the reaction will be grief or depression, low self-esteem, helplessness and hopelessness, even an urge to die.
