Hello, my name is Heather Parkerson,and I'm board-certified as a Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner. I work with adults along with specializing in children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and learning disorders. These include depression, anxiety, ADD, autism, school problems, impulsivity, and aggression have a variety of emotional difficulties. I believe that each person is much more than their diagnosis and with a combination of medication and therapy, we can work together to achieve a better quality of life. The most rewarding part of my job is helping individuals through difficult times in their lives.
I have worked in both the hospital and outpatient setting and have hands-on experience working with individuals who are doing well, along with those who are struggling. I strive to ensure the best possible outcomes by using the most current evidence-based practices and treatments. I take a team approach so that each person feels involved in their own care.
I am grateful that I get the opportunity to work with clients and help them through their difficult times.
