I am Dr. Angel Augustin, a board-certified psychiatrist based out of Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love! I completed my psychiatric training at the University of Pennsylvania. I have expertise in the treatment of various psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, low self-esteem, grief, cultural identity, and struggles with life transitions. I believe in taking a holistic and collaborative approach to creating a treatment plan that aligns with your goals.

Martin Brecher - Hope Springs is committed to giving the best of themselves in an effort to bring out the best in all of those who enter our facility. Our team consists of psychiatrists and licensed therapists who are experienced in treating adolescents, teens and adults with various neurological and behavioral conditions. Psychotherapy provided in my office is mandatory, along with medication if required. We are an Intensive Outpatient Facility where we do accept insurance only when psychotherapy is agreed upon for teens and adults. Teens, adults and their families are welcome to participate in our successful treatment model.

Our offices provide a full range of services to treat your mental, emotional and psychological health. We conduct on-site assessments and testing for various conditions, and then put together an appropriate treatment plan, including medication management and/or psychotherapy services as needed. Our offices are also available for individual and family counseling. Our certified therapists will work with you to help manage issues with anger, anxiety, depression, guilt, abuse, grief, including certain traumas.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of individuals struggling to make sense of themselves, and their place in their life and in the world. I have worked for many years with individuals with psychosis, which has taught me to respect our innately human ability to construct narratives of our experiences, and the power of narrative to define our sense of purpose. I work with individuals who want to create lasting change in their lives and bring meaning back to their life story.

I provide a complete range of psychiatric services including comprehensive evaluation, medication management, individual therapy and family therapy for children of all ages through adults. I understand how the complex dynamics of family affect the individual and how having a challenging child with emotional and behavioral problems affect the family system as well. I focus on the strengths of each child, individual and family, and utilize them in therapy to empower the child and their families to help them accept and overcome their issues.

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner across the lifespan. I work with clients and families and will assess if there is an immediate need psychiatric need for medication. In addition and equally important I evaluate the therapeutic process that is often driving his or her mental state. I incorporate all of my areas of expertise - medication, therapy and healthy eating - while working with a client

I am a Board Certified General Psychiatrist and a Fellowship Trained Addiction Psychiatrist who is capable of treating a wide array of psychiatric conditions. I graduated from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and then completed a 4-year residency training program in general psychiatry and 1-year fellowship in addiction psychiatry. I've worked with a wide variety of patients. I also have extensive work experience with young adults and career focused individuals who are experiencing psychiatric symptoms.

I specialize in the treatment of adults in providing motivational talk psychotherapy, medication management, consulting, and alternative treatments when applicable. I develop comprehensive and thorough treatment plans. I am eager and excited to assist patients in achieving their individual goals for their mental health. I like to work alongside my patients as a guide to help them decide the best treatment options for their diagnosis.
