I have an extensive background in the critical care setting, helping to stabilize acutely ill patients with psychiatric and medical conditions. My passion to help patients achieve full wellness is complimented by holistic care.

Dr. Peter Litwin is an Adult Psychiatrist in New Jersey who has been practicing since 1995. He completed medical school at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, after which he did his adult psychiatric residency at Albert Einstein. Dr. Litwin offers all his clients support, hope, and education about their clinical issues. He also connects with them on a personal level, and truly appreciates their commitment to treatment. Dr. Litwin is accountable and reliable. His medication management skills have been honed over 30 years of clinical practice.

My goal is to help patients who are struggling with their mental health optimize the quality of their life through symptom management. I am experienced at treating a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses through medication, Spravato (esketamine), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy. My “ideal” patient is someone who is suffering with a mood disorder, personality disorder, psychotic disorder, or any variation of the three, and wants help with managing their symptoms. My clinical interests include childhood and adolescent depression, other mood disorders, ADHD, child and adolescent anxiety disorders such as OCD, and post traumatic stress disorder.
