I have been working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner since 2017. Before opening my own practice, I worked at Pacific Medical Centers alongside primary care providers and other medical specialists. This improved my ability to see psychiatric concerns from multiple perspectives (e.g. sleep medicine, neuropsychology, gastroenterology). I understand that physical and mental health are inextricably linked. Finding the right diagnosis is foundational to successful treatment, which is why I devote significant time and care to get this right.
My primary goal is to explore a medication that will alleviate symptoms without causing bothersome side effects. While medications are important, it is only one piece of your overall mental health. I may advise my patients to seek additional testing, engage in regular psychotherapy, or make other lifestyle changes.
