I am an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), who is certified as Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner with prescriptive rights to prescribe psychiatric medications. I possess over 30 years of experience as a clinician, director,and professor. My practice focuses on psychotherapy and/or medication management based on the needs of my patients. I work in partnership by assisting patients to better manage their stressors. I respect and actively listen to my patients so they attain their individualized goals. I am compassionate and passionate about helping patients discover how they can find balance in their lives.
I have extensive education, training and experience with Depression and Anxiety as well as Insomnia and Sleep Disorders. I have been employed in inpatient, outpatient, residential, partial and intensive outpatient psychiatric settings. I have presented at National Conferences on several psychiatric topics, including depression, insomnia and anxiety.
I was the Director of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program & Doctorate in Nursing at the University of Saint Joseph in CT from 2010-2020, where I taught graduate students how to prescribe medications and conduct psychotherapy. I created & directed the PMHNP/APRN Program at Goodwin University from 2020-2022. I'm currently an adjunct professor at UMASS.
