I am board-certified and licensed in Virginia and Washington DC. Having worked in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization program (PHP) and out patient office; I have extensive experience working with adults, children and adolescents to manage depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, autism spectrum and OCD. Prior to graduating as a nurse practitioner, I had 12 years nursing experience working in neurology, psychiatry, hospice and pain management.
You can expect me to listen with compassion and to provide trauma-informed, gender affirming care. Appointments are delivered via HIPAA secure telehealth and include a comprehensive history, assessment, and discussion about diagnoses and personalized treatment plans. New patient appointments typically last 60 minutes & follow ups last 30 minutes.
Since every client is unique, so are treatment plans. I will help you explore the underlying causes of symptoms and facilitate integrated holistic wellness by incorporating psychotropic medication, lifestyle modification, psychotherapy, cognitive reframing, coping skills development, mindfulness, nutrition recommendations, and referral to specialists.
