I am a Mount Sinai clinical professor and board-certified adult psychiatrist. I trained at Sinai as well as Yale for medical school, where I completed neuropsychiatric research in brain imaging and computational neural models for my PhD. The unique combination of my extensive neuroscience research background and my psychodynamic psychotherapy training means I am strongly in favor of evidence-based treatment, while appreciating the limitations of randomized controlled trials as assessment tools for highly individualized psychotherapeutic interventions. I will use both my knowledge of brains and my knowledge of minds to help you.
I offer individual medication management and talk therapy, as well as romantic partner/family therapy. I'm experienced in giving gender-affirming, queer-friendly, ace/aro-affirming care. It is my goal to maintain an open-minded and welcoming stance to nontraditional relationship arrangements, including polyamorous and other non-monogamous arrangements.
