Board certified MD psychiatrist who has been serving Nebraska and Iowa since 2014. Born and raised in Nebraska and attended medical school at UNMC and residency at Creighton. My goal for patients is for them to become well enough that they no longer need my services. I do not want patients to just exist, but to thrive as happy and functional individuals. This often includes their relationships, professions and education. I am a medication minimalist and strive for the least medications and lowest effective dose. Much of my time is spent identifying the correct diagnosis and reducing medications started by prior providers.

Cheri (she, her, hers) is fervent about and has garnered her skills in providing whole person, quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to adults who are dealing with real-life concerns including anxiety, depression, mood, trauma and those dealing with self-sabotaging behaviors. Cheri possesses strong clinical skills heightened by her natural capacity to build healing connections with patients and families. She follows evidence-based guidelines melded with clinical expertise, personal observation, and intuition. She is dedicated to an integrative practice.

I have experience in treating severe mental illness: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders, bipolar disorders, major depressive disorder and OCD. I also treat anxiety disorders, including PTSD. ADHD and substance use disorders. By partnering with me, we can evaluate your symptoms and come up with a treatment plan best tailored to your individual needs.
