I am trained in interpersonal therapy, mindfulness, psychopharmacology, DBT skills, EMDR, and trauma-informed therapy. I am confident that my combination of skills will help if we have a compatible and good rapport together.
Medication works great to clear that storm cloud over your head, but medication is not the quick fix many people think it is. Medication clears the way for the real work to begin in consistent, regular weekly therapy sessions. Psychotherapy plus medication is considered the gold standard treatment for many mental health problems.
I offer psychotherapy with me, plus medication management if needed, in weekly 50-minute sessions. I do not offer medication management only, even if you see a different therapist. My style is warm, candid, interactive, pragmatic, and optimistic.
