I am a board certified psychiatrist with over 20 years of clinical experience in Atlanta, GA. I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, emergency rooms, and inpatient units at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, Emory University Hospital, Wesley Woods Hospital, and Grady Hospital. My experience includes managing patients with treatment resistant mental illness and co-occurring medical illness. I have also been involved with several clinical research studies studying the effectiveness of various antidepressants, antipsychotics, and lithium.

Integrative Psychiatry is intended to do more than help you manage your symptoms. It is designed to help you live a complete, healthy, fulfilling life. Dr. Pooler will collaborate with you to identify potential factors and contributors to your mental health. This collaboration may include blood work, genetic testing, assessment of gut function, and hormone panels, to name a few. Dr Mehdi is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and sleep physician. He is the service director of Partial hospitalization program (PHP) at Peachford Hospital where patients are engage in various therapy groups lead by expert therapists 7 days a week. Patients are seen by him within 24-48 hours of starting the program. Patient can stay at the lodge Dr. Mehdi has strong expertise in Mood Disorders, anxiety disorder and psychosis related disorders and substance abuse relapse prevention. He also try to integrate medications with a naturalistic approach in treatment of psychiatric disorder.

Mindspring Health is available for same/next week appointments via tele-health (GA and IN) or in-person sessions (GA). Our board-certified psychiatrists specialize in evidence-based and patient-centered treatment. Our psychiatrists completed training in General Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry at Emory University School of Medicine. We treat children, teenagers, adults, and elderly patients. We also specialize in forensic psychiatry and conduct independent medical evaluations, fitness for duty evaluations, competency to stand trial, and criminal responsibility evaluations.
