Upon graduation from medical school, she matriculated to The University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, where she completed an internship in Psychiatry. She then returned to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where she completed her residency in General Psychiatry and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is dually board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Pointer currently treats children, adolescent, and young to middle age adult patients.

He strives to provide compassionate, comprehensive, and person-centered mental health services to adolescents and adults. As a PMHNP, Drew’s role is multifaceted, including educator, mental health advocate, and medication manager.

Kathy has culturally diverse experience working with people to address their health/mental health needs. After many years working in international healthcare, Kathy returned to the U. S. and helped develop and coordinate an award-winning program for providing healthcare to those in Atlanta experiencing homelessness. Through a collaborative, empathetic, and trauma-informed approach, Kathy works with people from ages 16-65 to find a path to wellness and becoming their best self. Kathy and her family enjoy international travel, hiking, and gathering to play board games.

Linda Floyd is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner. Since beginning to work with patients in 2014, Linda has engaged with patients in a variety of treatment settings. She understands the distress and impaired functioning her patients are experiencing. Her goal is to engage with patients to reduce their distress, improve functioning, and help them reach their potential. She develops a therapeutic alliance with each patient, using best practices to set treatment goals and select the proper treatment plan. She combines psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological approaches, including mindfulness stress reduction technique
