I am Francis Segovia, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I am qualified to diagnose, provide psychotherapy, and prescribe medications to children, adolescents, and adults with mental health disorders. I have experience working with individuals who experience symptoms of anxiety, impulsivity, depression, insomnia, trauma, abuse, obsessive-compulsive disorder, adjustment issues, behavioral problems, and psychosis. I have over 14 years of experience working with individuals from ages 10 to 95.
I completed my Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) at the University of South Alabama. I spent 9 years as a Registered Nurse (RN) and 4 years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). I have worked at an inpatient psychiatric state facility in Texas, a 24-hour crisis phone line, and an outpatient crisis stabilization unit.
I am able to determine the needs of my patients and provide holistic care. I am understanding and provide patient education during each visit. There is no wrong question; it is better to ask than to not understand your symptoms.
