I came to the United States of America in 1997. In 2001, I joined the US Army where I served as a medic for 8 years. After my military service, I decided to go to Nursing School. I graduated with my MSN from Walden University as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. "My passion for Psychiatric nursing is born out of my desire to assist vulnerable individuals attain possible health and independence through medication management and support." My focus is to provide psychiatric treatment for individuals 18 years and older. I focus on bipolar disorder/manic depressive illness, OCD, depression, anxiety,PTSD, insomnia,ADHD, and schizophrenia.
During therapy,I stay calm in front of my clients, show personal interest in the needs of the client, take my time to understand the client's perspective, acknowledge the client's feelings,and take care of my own needs as a provider. We look at the big picture together and set small and measurable goals that we will revisit as the treatment process continues
My approach to care is to build trust with the client by introducing the care process and learning as much as possible from the client in order to meet their need. My clients will leave my session feeling respected, listened to, and provided possible solutions to their concerns.
