I am a native of Chicago, born and raised here. I have over 20 years of experience in healthcare as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. For the past 10 years I have worked in various settings as a nurse practitioner, including universities, hospitals, retail clinics and outpatient clinics. I have a Doctorate degree in nursing practice, and I am a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMNHP-BC). I believe that mental and physical health goes hand and hand which drives me to provide care that is patient centered and integrative.
In our first session we will become acclimated to each other's background to establish a foundation to build growing rapport. We will then discuss any challenges that you feel may have contributed to you seeking therapy.
Some of my biggest strengths include being a great listener, possessing empathy and providing a non-judgmental approach to engage with my clients. I want to create a comfortable and safe space for every client to be transparent and feel that their concerns are being heard and addressed.
